Friday's contain our free afternoons which are much looked forward too. After classes I sampled ceviche for the first time at the restaurant Punto Azul. Ceviche is an "uncooked" fish dish served in a lime and other citruses liquid. I say uncooked, because while it never goes through the oven or grill, it is said that the acid in the citrus liquid cooks the fish. While tasty, you are eating a plate of rubbery fish only. Filling up on this without a grain like bread or pasta is tough. Still it is the authentic dish of Peru and I was glad I had it. Directly afterwards a couple of us headed down to the beach to surf. Our guide was a guy named Roberto who we called Tito due to his exact likeness with Tito from Rocket Power (if you weren't born in the 90's you won't understand this reference). The waves were small and Tito hooked us up with large boards so a couple of us were surprisingly successful at catching a bunch of waves. After dinner at our respective houses we grouped back up for some bowling at Larcomar, a mall on the side of a cliff overlooking the water.
